MIDI controller slides & knobs

I've had my MIDI controller for about 5 months now. I use it to write melodies of course and when I use it on Reason all my knobs work because for some reason they were assigned to Reason in default setting. The controller that I have is Radium 49 by M-Audio. I mostly use FL Studio 5.0 to produce and I am wondering what do I have to do to assign actions to my slides and my knobs on my controller in FL enviroment? I never really explored this on FL and I didn't find the tutorial helpful. I would greatly appriciate it if someone could help me out.

Anyone? I'm sure its a minor problem, but I'm brave enough to admit that I'm not sure how to take care of it.

on my trigger finger all i have to do is right lcick on the virtual knob or slider in fl studio and click on link to controller and then just move around the knob or slider you want to assign it to and press the okay button and it works, or at least that works for my trigger finger, i dont see why it wouldnt with a keyboard

tre, i know what you're talking about and I was familiar with thise before. But on external VST plug-ins, that do not come with FL, this doesn't work. How do you link up to those? I guess I didn't phrase my question correctly.
