I want to buy one.Does it have all the sounds from the Motif 6 7 or 8?

it has all those sounds, plus two extra banks, brand new. i highly recommend it- i used to own one myself.

I HAD A 6.

THE ONLY DOWNFALL TO THE RACK IS NO SAMPLING
BUT THE NEW ES MODELS HAVE NEW SOUND TOO.
IT'S HOT FOR SURE.

yeah, and the es is double the cost... i say the rack is the better investmant. if you use a pc in your setup, and need sampling, there are plenty of better options out there on pc that do a world more then a hardware sampler.

. the 6, 7, and 8 all have the same soundset... its just the keys that you are paying for. you get 2 additional soundsets- 5 banks total. you arent getting "all three keyboards" because they share the same soundset. does that make sense?

Does the Motif Rack have a sequencer?

no sequencer. if you need a sequencer, you may have to take a serious look at your setup as it is. that is the heart of any midi studio.

you can get the keyboard for the sequencer, however that will make mixdown a bit of a chore, as you will only have four (possibly 6... not too sure there..) channels to work with.
