mpc 1k to Roland Fantom Xa

i was thinkin about sellin my mpc 1k and gettin a workstation like the Roland Fantom Xa any advice

Try to go for the X6 or S61. The Xa is the watered down version. I owned it and it was alright but i mean u can still work wonders with it. But if u do sale your 1k let me know cause im interested in buying one but if u have the max memory in it i'll pass cause u gonna want prolly 700 to 850 for it.

i think a Fantom X is cool... but i think the X6 is ur best bet. i hate those 9 hard drum buttons on the Xa... they suck. if u can muster up the money to just get a Fantom and still keep the MPC u'll have a great setup.

if u want Roland sounds why not just get the Roland Fantom-XR and just get yourself a low price controller

just get yourself the fantom xr....i have it in conjunction to my mpc 1000. I dont know how you feel about doing drums but i cannot do drums on anything but mpc pads.....if you dont want to get the rack get the x6 its worth the extra cash plus you get that nice screen...lol

my budget is crazy low for that i got my eye on the roland xv2020 even tho it looks small it gotta have good sounds

Yeah mang i feel you the fantom xr is a bit pricey for real.....i remember Jus blaze saying on a smack dvd that the fantom xr has alot of the sounds that the xv2020 has.....If you could afford the xv2020 get that but if you could hold off and save some cash, i can assure you that the fantom xr is worth the wait.....if you have any other questions hit me up i could help you to the best of my abilities....

fuk a fantom m8 get a Motif. they kill it for hip hop sounds. and they are cheaper.
