ok ive got a mpc 2000xl with internal 100 zip drive

i also have a PC with an external 100 zip drive

my questions are:

Is 100 mb zip disk usually enough to save and load all the sequences, sounds, programs etc for 1 complete song? (ie..does it take more or too much memory to have the sounds saved in an organised manner such as a sequence or is memory only used by the samples themselves)....i assume the answer is YES since the mpc only holds 32mb.

&

is this setup the most effective way to transfer my samples from my PC to my mpc? (since i can put a disk into the external, cut n past my samples onto it and then load the disk into mpc)

cheers

ill o.g.
100mb.... you can save 20 songs or more... depends how much sampling,,,
the 2000xl zip drive is fast... load and save the sounds quick....
less than a minute for each song,... maybe 2..

there saved in SND... format...

i think your making it to hard 4 your self...

your mpc.. can cut that sample and do all the editing you need to cut a sample...

I USE THE CPU ZIP 2 TRANSFER WAV FILES AND CUT THEM IN MY MPC...
95% OF THE TIME THERE READY...

ANOTHER ADVANTEGE THE 2000XL HAS... IT CAN READ WAV...
