i dont know much about the MPC, but if ur MPC has a certain pitch control and the midi board does too...maybe they aren't matched up or somethin...or maye ur midi board's modulation wheel is up .... as for the sounds....keeping in mind i've never used an mpc but...some MIDI OUTs have a port setting and a channel patch setting...if the patch setting on the mpc is set to one thing and the midi board is set to a different patch, one of them will cancel each other out...

hope it helps

Set your PSR to local , set the midichnl, set the programnr. on the mpc to the assigned midichnl( the preset, which can be a bitch because I dont think the psr will take the logical sequence of presets, numbered by the psr. So preset nr 34 wont be program 34 on the mpc ).

If a note-on midi message exceeds its barlength it wont play the note when it in loopmode, so make sure you release the notes before the bar ends during recording. If you still miss out on recorded notes than you might consider setting Q to 1/32.
