MPC1000 + MIDI Keyboard = Chords?

Alright, I recently picked up my MPC1000 and have gotten to know it fairly well this weekend.

I want to really start working now.

If I pick up a multisample set, say of a rhodes keyboard, and load up the program on my mpc, can I play the samples with a keyboard - as in, can I play actual chords?

If so, this thing will be an AMAZING tool for composition - far beyond what I originally thought it could do.

Sure can. Just make sure your polyphony is more than one.

My mans put me on to it. He was like, you could chop your samples.

Loaded it up, and I still don't know all the extra functions.
I even read the update list for what it does, but I had no idea...

P.S. but it's just so much faster on the pc??? But I can't leave it alone, that sequencer is pretty user friendly, lol.
