MPD 16 help...

Okay. I bought the MPD used so I have no manual. I d/ll one of the net, but I still have pronlems. A few things that I have not seen after searching...


1) In the FPC

Can anyone tell me if and how can I set the pads to not play an entire sample once the pad is released. I want to let go and have the sound stop, as of now,,,it just keeps playing.


2) In the FL Slicer

I can only get some sound on some pads, and others are silent. I also do not get the full range of slices. It seems as if some pads stay silent. (This happens in the sampler also.)

1) In the FPC........u can try using the adsr envelope buttons to the right of the sample....check out this vid on how to adjust adsr..the same principles can be used....


2) In the FL Slicer......the pads in the mpd and fpc are set to the general midi pad settings, u have to change the midi note in the mpd software utility to the one that your sample falls on ... so if the slicer drops the sample on say C5 u have to change the midi note in the software utility to C5.

there is a easier way though if u use edison......let me know if u want that know that method

i was just gonna say go to akai pro and get the upgrade to it!!!
as to getting the sample ... well all the samples on the pad
i advise u to open a plug in battery ect, and assign them to the pads!
im not an fl fan at all i use reason4 and all u have to do is put in the nnxt!
but when i did use fl i assign patterns to each pad!!! so for pattent 1 would be the kick pattern 2 will be the snare and ect same as the sample! it was easier that way for me!! but i dont mess wit fl!! go get rerason 3.0 or reason 4!! then its another story!!LOL
