This is wierd, Cubase plays just fine, Reason 3 plays just fine, but anytime that I play music or videos I get this static, to be honest it sounds like identical to the static and pops you hear if you are running out of memory while using VSTi's. Again the DAWs aren't affected. Just in case... I did change the DMA buffer size on my soundcard (24/92 Audiophile) still the same problem. I've tried different media players Itunes, Windows, Real Player, You tube, ESPN, same thing. Ram usage is low, over 500 ram free. This just happened out of the blue. Has this happened to anyone else? Bios is good. Everything was good. I could run multiple applications and download no prob. Updated drivers, virus scans, spyware scans, all that. It stutters more when things are accessed hard drive, web page still load quickly, but the music stutters.
