Piano Roll and Samples

I loaded a sample into Fruity loops and normally you know I can play it in the Piano Roll so I could make a melody out of a loop in a sense. However, I have a sample loaded up and when I switch up the key on the piano roll it doesn't change the sample at all. Any suggestions?

yeah i have had this problem a couple times myself, but i just reload it sometimes and it fixes itself, i would also like to know why it does that

Yah cuz this is really annoying me I had this whole idea of what to do with it in my head. And it won't let me. I suppose I could try to pitch it up though similarly to what it does when I play the piano roll.

FL 6.0.4 is out, fixes a few bugs.

I've had the same problem from time to time. Try loading your sample without loop points. I had a bass note with loops points, loaded it in and it would pitch up or down. Afterwards I opened the same bass note in a FL Slicer channel, then drag and dropped it into a sampler channel and it worked fine.

if you make a melody and the sample doesn't change its pitch it might be, that you stretched the sample.

Oh, ok that was it I didn't know I couldn't play them after I stretched the sample.
