Hi-Lo

Right now I'm using FL 6 and Reason and since I've been getting serious about my production recently, I'm starting to think about making a switch down the road to a more hardcore DAW (and that isnt anything against FL, I know its a solid program. but it ain't logic..)

I'm not gonna ask the question thats been asked here a million times about which DAW is the best, cause I've read through a lot of posts, but I'm having a real hard time finding places on the web that give a serious, like audiophile kind of look at the major programs and compare them...not even necessarily from a hip hop point of view, just a general music production one. Right now I'm considering Cubase, Logic, or Live (Sonar is only for PC) and I'm just trying to find a side-by-side comparison of the three from a pretty in depth perspective. Anyone know where to find one?

Also, for anyone who would know...the one thing I love about FL is the sample library (or whatever its called) on the left side where I can scroll through all of my stored drum libraries, etc. Do any of the more serious DAW's have a feature like this? From a hip hop point of view, I kind of consider that to be indespensible.

use what u know is best for you, they really do the same more or less, its just what u comfortable with.

this is perfect man. wish they had live but this is way better than anything I've seen so thanks a lot.

should i also be looking at pro-tools M powered? I dont know why but I always thought of pro tools as something you bring your beats into after making them (like in a studio for tracking/mastering) rather than a place to actually make beats, but the more I read I'm starting to think i was wrong on that.
