spent all day trying to figure this one out need help from the sperts
I am trying to use Cubase with my MPC 2500 , i want to use my VST's as sound modules. But if I have more than one VST the MPC seems to send signals down all the midi channels playing all the VST at the same time even though they are all on different channels can any one help.

I have my MPC sync to Cubase as the master, MPC settings are all correct
my midi routing is as follows

Midi keyboard out to MPC midi in A
MPC midi in to PC sound card midi out
MPC midi out A to pc sound card in

settings in MPC

MIDI
active track receive channel ALL
softe thru AS TRACK
sequence change by program change OFF
pad to internal sound ON

VST's as sound modules you might have to pan the channels if you can in the vst
why do you have pad sound on if you are using the vst sounds
i have mpc1000

Thanks for the reply Broussard, I think i ve opened open a world of pain. Manuals all over the place. I have turned off internal sounds to pad just a parameter i missed but still no joy. Think this one is going to take time to crack judging on the responce

got ya, i understand , thanks for the advice man. it didnt help that I also had some crappy midi cables which did not work. Once I sawped those out things got a lot better.
