aight as many of you know ive been using reason for a minute now... but up until now i have never really gotten into using the built in sequencer...cubase 1.6 has been giving me alot of problems lately... especially when im working with loops.. and im still trying to get the hang of logic:headbang: so... im tryin to learn the ins and outs of the reason sequencer.... now my question is say i had a rex loop that i wanted to play at an octave lower so it would be double the lenght and an octave lower in pitch(right?) now... when i use the transposer or just try and do it staght from the sequencer... the loops is always the same lenght if you know what i mean so it only plays half of what i want to hear( do u get what im sayin?) so basicaaly is there a way to extend the lenght of my loops without going back to my wave editor and chopping up the same loop again at half speed? .... i hope that made sense:confused:

if u transpose usin da recycle, da length of da loop stays da same, look at da matrix and you will see dat da notes are still in da same position, try n move those to increase da length of da loop. there is really no way of stretchin samples wit da recycler, so id sugest u go back to da wav editor

i dont work with loops or rex really but...cant you place it in the NNXT and octave it there...i have done this with some live bass samples...i think NNXT supports rex....if im wrong, sorry, but im sure i am right...

i use reason to make loops and then i export the loop to Acid Pro 4.0 and lay the track out from there... its much easier that way and allows one to mix and break the track down like reason would never allow.

Holmz: If you want a simple octave change of a sample loaded into tha rex player theres a little knob that does that for you aside from tha transposer...Plus, if you want to get experimental tha envelope is sick if youever fuck with it!?!.....Ive made people singing turn into dope bass guitar sounds or simulated roland sounding kick drums...You can do alot with that little toy....

Heres a screen shot...

You can also pick a specific slice and just change tha pitch of it...
