Sequencer in FL Studio 4

Alright... I use a 2000XL, but I recently started messin with FL on my laptop for the portability and I gotta say, it's pretty ill. The only thing thats pissin me off is sequencing. The step edit shit is cool and all, but is there any way to sequence a pattern like on the MPC, where you can have like a 2 bar pattern looping over and over(while you're recording)? Im using a Oxygen 8 and when I want to play a melody in one of my patterns using the piano roll, it'll play the pattern once through and then just keep on recording. Is there any way to get the pattern that I want to record into to just keep looping so I dont just have one shot at getting the melody right? I hope I'm making myself clear and not just rambling on... Any help would be mucho appreciated.

I "THINK" you can highlite the bars you want to record in piano roll and just record it like that.

Let me know how it works out playa.

oh, and that won't work N.U.G it'll only loop when it's selected, but not in record mode.

Oh. Well do you know how to do it then, Kevin? (or is it even possible?)

yes you can, You guys are going to force me to write up my MPC emulated on fruityloops tutorial sooner than I expected.

After searching the FL website forum, I've come on to the conclusion that no one, atleast not the makers or anyone online is loop recording in FLstudio. Let them tell it, it don't exist. If you put looping into the search on thier website, you'll find everything ever posted about. They've even made cartoons about people who keep asking for FLstudio to have loop recording, getting punched in the face.

You can help me by doing this:
Find out how I can upload a picture from my harddrive on to this website, I tried to do it before but it said I needed a link to a picture on another site.

I'm guessing this isnt the proper way to do it butttt if you cut the bit you don't want to record onto at the end, then you right click on the row at the top of the playlist (showing the bar numbers) to set the point where you want the loop to begin you can do it then paste the end bit back on

You gonna like it N.U.G, it's a good possibility it will change the way you make beats.

I'm also working on realtime mic compression & effects without hardware. Yup, I said it, without hardware before you even start recording. I'm very very close, I just got to figure where a echo sound that I didn't include is coming from.
