@Memento Beats I really really like the 4 bar loop at the intro, any chance I could get that without the bass and the vox?
Sure, no problem. I will export it and send it to your email. :)

For Real:
This feels more like and "art project" than it does a hip-hop beat. The harmonics and the atmosphere are really cool. I like the build and the way the song grows. There's an almost 'biological' feel in the way it breathes and pumps. I do think some half time drums, or maybe some orchestral percussion as accents, would serve to add more character or dynamics, but I'm not hating on the finished product.

@Memento Beats

I watched a video about about a year ago, and was pretty intrigued by the genre. That being said, it's not a genre that clicked with me. From my limited exposure to the genre, I will say, I think you got all the hallmarks and nailed the sound. Of the three versions, I prefer the normal. Chopped and screwed was never really my thing, and I feel the normal version had the best balance of tempo and energy.

Catch Me If You Can:

This is more EDM than hip-hop...but really cool. The melody is captivating. I like the vocal samples used as melodic elements. Again, I prefer the normal version.

@2GooD Productions

Stay: The horns are really cool. I like that you washed them and tucked the back and too the sides. The vocal sample is dope, bjt gets a bit repetitive for my taste - it almost loses its significance. The two things I really liked were; how the rhodes does this really gentle counter melody in the background and the delicate Piano + Pad/strings in the 'chorus.' It's not intrusive but does a lot to lift the track into a different gear. Not sure if I'm tripping...but there's also a subtle mallet/chime bit tucked way back in there. Very deft touch with that part! Almost unnoticeable, but def adds to the vibe and atmosphere.

Give Me What I Need: Definitely could be a battle contender! The bass line is super smooth!. Great use of the sample. The little details like the chimes are a great touch too. This is a great beat! No really comments, well done!

The horn stabs are great. Good example of a simple yet effective melody. The percussion and drums are really cool. They provide a good foundation and groove but have a glitchy and asymmetric quality to them. The texture introduced around 0:37 is dope! Sounds like you took a sample and did some really creative processing to them. It's weird, between the drums, horns, and sampled bit, I feel like there are 3 difrerent beats going on here, but you managed to weave them together nicely.

This is my type of beat! Funky, soulful, and bouncy. Sample selection and chops are great. The change at 1:17 is great too! The use of percussion to emphasize the change was very artfully done. The only thing I don't care for are those 808s. I've never been a big fan of 808s and 808s as bass lines. Otherwise, very dope!

@DJ Excellence

You never miss with your remixes. I feel like I say the same thing for all of them, but you do such a great job of matching the vocals with the beat. Well done - as always!

@PhxAzTracmaster

Norms: one of my favs from your more recent stuff. Great bounce, and groove. The little vocal chops are simple but add a lot to the beat. Great bass line too. Really liked how to you dropped it out and brought it back in. I think the only thing I'd do different with this is try to add some more dimension L and R.
