Dreem Teem:
I really, REALLY, love the delay on the low muted guitar. Hearing in centred then faintly in the right ear is such a minute detail that can go missed but adds tot he texture and atmosphere. In fact, I like the delay on the higher guitar part too. The harmonies, and counters are really well done. Mix, as always, is great. The bass line while simple, is felt more than heard and adds a gravitational centre to the whole beat. Maybe it's a recency bias, because I've been doing that with my bass lately...but again serves the beat well and add to the "sum" rather than being a distraction. Do you work with arrangement templates? You do a great job of fleshin out, stretching out, introducing, and takin out elements that works very seamlessly. Again, with the little details -- I hear some horns/sax tucked all the way in the back ( which I entirely missed on the first few listens) but certainly felt. The line cliché with the strings were cool. While I think all of the sounds selected work well (sonically and melodically) I feel like it spans one too many "feels" or "genres." The "Doo-Doos" vocals maybe could've been blended in a bit more delicately, but fundamentally - not obtrusive. What I really liked was the bell/chime. The provide both a melody, counter melody, and accent to the main melodic theme which is very clever!
Adrie's Dream:
I prefer this over Dreem Teem. Really because that 12 string guitar has such a "dreamy" quality. However, I think dialling back the ring on it would add more dynamics. The orchestral stabs are a great way to add movement and groove. I mentioned on a Warzone beat, but using a noticeable sample can be really tricky. You did a good job showing it, but not
telling it -- if that makes any sense. Is there some chopped/screwed vocals in there?!?!?!? It doesn't make any sense to me, but also...does?!?! It fills out the spectrum -- again in a
felt not
heard way. This is really cool. I like this. Making a complex beat sound
simple is a skill and a very deft touch.

I mentioned last week; I really like your song structure. More so, your ability to get across your musical ideas in a structured way. I suck with song structure, B sections, transitions etc. so I respect anyone who can distill their sound into a formal structure. I love that flute melody. I personally think it's maybe missing some dimension. I don't know, maybe a grain delay or lower register double/harmony. This is a hyper nit-pick, but it may be too square. It fits the grid too well. I feel like a bouncy, trilly, lyrical element like the flute should cross grid lines with free will. I do really like when it drops down a register and simplifies. I won't comment on the drums...because well, the whole Ill community knows I don't like trap lol.
Rusalka:
Yes! If all trap sounded like this, I could get behind it. I absolutely love that vocal bit. Especially love when you give it the stutter. Coupled with the bombastic, overblown horns...SUPER DOPE. I know I said I don't like trap drums, but the falling kicks, toms, ratcheting snares/claps fir this so well. Chromaticism is really hard to pull off, but you use it well at the 1:24 mark in the conext of a transition. Again, some more dimension; reverb to blend, filters to make space may take this to the next leve...but this is dope. I really like this tune. Thank you for sharing.
