Im Getting To Purchase A Full Production Rig And Need Some Good Advice.
I Know Alot Of People Use The Mpc's For Production And Pro Tools For Recording, But Honestly Which One Better For Production Hardware Or Software?

Should I Lean Towards A Setup Like:

Akai Mpc 1000
Dell Laptop
Mbox 2
Soft Synths
Novation Remote Sl
Gemini Turntable

Or:

Dell Laptop
Cubase Sx3
Novation Remote Sl
Presonus Firebox
Numark Pt01
Soft Synths


Give Me You Guys Advice On The Difference Between The Two As Far As Pro's And Con's. It Seems Like Everybody Thinks The Mpc Is The Only Way To Make Good Beats And Computer Programming Is Trash.so Post Me Some Advice,

Go with the top half it will take you further you need protools with that and its on; but no software is not worse than hardware, its a preference.
BUT you cant take your software with you to a spot and have everyone gawk at it.
The MPC was the future in 93 when I bought an SP. I shoulda got the mp but Im glad I did get that sp.
There are some guys on here with really ice stuff done on sfotware.

make sure if you get a dell that it has a good soundcard in it because those cats "jerked" me. my has a little latency, not too bad but still it's noticeable. thank god i only use that laptop when i travel. i only use it to make "scratch" tracks when i can't be around the "mpc". still, i should have gotten a "powerbook". (i was being cheap) anyway, it's all on what you're comfortable with fam. one is not better than the other. they serve their purpose...
