Sounds familiar samples?

I really like sample based hiphop and find the originals to see how the producer made a beat with it. Sometimes the original is so strong that they didn't even try to 'flip' it. It would murder the sample.

Those are classics! Yeah it's like that sometimes that you find something and you don't want to even touch it. I still try to chop stuff like that anyway because I don't want to just loop something.

Yeah I always try to chop. Nowadays the art of sampling isn't mainly about crate digging anymore, with all the samples you want available in a couple of mouse clicks and where almost every record is sampled before.
