Any body ever use hypersonic? Ive heard a couple demo songs and it sounds pretty sikk ... jus wondering if anyone ever used this program and what they though of it .. or if someone could find an online review of the product cuz ive been trying to find one and i cannot .. i was thinking of trading spectrasonics trilogy and atmosphere and getting hypersonic cuz i dont have enough ram to run the spectrasonics joints... any feedback is appreciated

Hell no Holmz! Don't get rid of Trilogy! I could probably do without Atmosphere, but Trilogy is too damn good to get rid of. Its Totally Phatt sounding. Just wait till you can get more Ram and leave them on the backburner for now.

Yeah, Hypersonic is pretty sick. The sounds it comes with are quite good Imo. It's definitly a great tool for sketching out your joints quickly.
Also, I think Xphraze is gettin bigger props than hypersonic from what I was reading on the Cubase forum. I personally dont own Xphraze yet, but its definitly on my list for later.

Peace

spectrasonics still based it's source on a massive soundlibrary, so no emulation of synthesis. Hypersonic is basicly the same but in module version meaning 1 hypersonic plug allows an amount of 16 chnls where spectronsonic allows an amount of plugs to be opened depending on your ram and processorpower, just like ordinary vsti's. My bet is that it would save some cpu because one plug deal with 16 instrument chnls and opening 16 spectrasonic plugs would care for more cpu. Wether it is true I dont know, I havent either of em. The rest of utilites supplied are the common features you can expect, fx, filters, mixer, etc. My thought on it would be to check if you like the kit of sound supplied with it and it's expanding capabilities for the future. I personaly wouldn't go for such a solution since these sounds may come in very recognisable or potentialy common ( like reason samples ) making use of it less original.

Good stuff Holmz! Your making the right decision. Trilogy is one of my biggest weapons. It's so phatt that it gets used in every single one of my joints for bass. Hypersonic is aight, but I could/can do without it. Try to get at least 1 Ghz of Ram Holmz, it will do for the most part. When you can afford it, add more ram later. Big props to Spectrasonics!
