Stupid MIDI question

Just got my new evolution mk-449c controller today. I don't have a midi cable, so can i send midi through the USB?

Are there any limitations by using the usb instead of a midi cable plugged into the midi in on my soundcard?

Is there any need for me to buy a midi cable for my keyboard?

I can play my moog modular through the usb on the keyboard, but i don't know how to move the faders on the screen with the one's on my keyboard.

I dont think you need the midicable if usb is supplied, but you need to set the cc# from the knobs in the plugin to match the assigable knobs on the midicontroller. Mostly there's a midi implementation chart with cc# in the help file or folder of that plugin.
