Reactable is fucking dope. I fucked with one at the last NAMM show. Its not for beatmaking though. Its more of a synth instrument than anything else. I mean, you could use it to make a beat but i wouldnt bother.
The attraction with Reactable is obviously the interactivity and the cool light show it puts on. I heard a few people are starting to use them live in performances on stage like Bjork.

^^^^ I think the point of it is for it to be played like an instrument, live.
Looks like it takes some learning tho, and a good degree of accuracy if performing live.
It would be okay if you were an octopus, but then I dont think its waterproof.

I do , but seriously instead of tones and what not there is a hella future with this, and def for the live show.
If I could I would start learning to freak the shit out of one.
There is a shit load of possibilities with this.
I would drop $$ on this, to invest in the company.

There is little future for synth, since the 60/70's up to 2008 pretty much all is based upon formant synthesis. Due to technology it has been possible to embed more into less space but the basics are the same of those. The basis for the technology finds its purpose in emulating the human voice by recognizing its formants (3).
