what's up w/ the media discrediting our true hip-hop heroes? they praised the ones misrepresenting our culture, but mock those who try to change it for the better. if you're asking for a particular artist that i'm talking about, look no further than Kanye West. one of the only mainstream artists that actually gives a damn about the future of our culture and they try to poke at quotes he says (some that are taking out of context). the whole playgirl issue, him having a certain arrogance, i mean who doesn't have an ego in rap music? we need more hip-hop saviors like him, Common, Outkast, those who i am proud to talk highly of in hip-hop circles. a gun and some talk can give you the world, but a heart and some action sometimes is your ultimate downfall. word to martin luther.

yeah, like the whole nelly "battle". nelly will never ever get no respect nor play in the ride for bashing a hip-hop icon. i own beef II and when i saw that battle featured it showed how much of a hypocrite nelly really is. he claimed he never listened to Krs let he knew enough to have me thinking. talking about BDP's song super hoe, and all that shit. we still got niggas actually associating and making music w/ em' though. snoop seems like he cosigning the boy in dat shitty video for the longest yard sndtrk. i'm sorry but my view on that particular case is nelly never won that battle to anyone w/ the sightest hint of what real hip-hop is.
