When I Hooked Them Both Up I Keep Gettin This Loud Static Or Hissing Noise Can Anyone Help Me Find Out How To Get Rid Of It Or Have Another Method Of Hookin The Two Together?

Buy a mixer (or a special pre-amp). The sound will be much better.

okay... this is how i tried that but now i cant record whats on the vinyl to the cpu someone hit me up on Yahoo at stick_em_up_productions and help

This is how I got mine hooked up.

The Master Out from my mixer goes into the Line input of the PC. I use the "Y" cable with RCA on one end a headphone jack on the other end.

Go to the computer's Volume Control , click on the Options menu and open up Properties.
Once you're in there, click on the Record tab (it should show a list and make sure Line In is checked off). Then click, OK, and you should be in Recording control now. Just make sure Line In is selected.

how good is your quality?

The sound quality's fine. I make mix cd's and stuff like that all the time. Just record it at 44,100 hz Stereo 16 or 24 bit. Just make sure the levels not too high. Otherwise it'll sound all fucked up.

that hissing noise would probably be the result of the ground wire from the turntable not being hooked up to anything.
