Using an MPC with a Motif

i wanna get the MPC 2500 to do all my sequencing and sampling, and i want to use my Motif for its sounds, effects etc...

i understand MIDI and know i could easily set the Motif up as a MIDI controller for the MPC. however, what im not clear on is how i would get the great sounds of the Motif into a sequence on the MP, with the notes quantized.

also what extra equipment would i need? just a mixer?

ok props man my setup is gonna be very similar to yours, the only difference being my keys and sounds are combined into one unit. and i wont have the m-box.

I got a similar set up im just trying to get my head around at the moment. Midi in keys, midi out MPC, midi in MPC, midi out keys. Audio outs keys audio in mixer, audio outs MPC audio ins mixer and just headphones in the mixer. I dont know if this is the best way of doing it but its what im doing at the moment. Hope that helps im just starting off so prob not the best person to take advice from.
