This was interesting. I really enjoyed that beat because there was just something about it that kept me nodding my head. Dope.

Really enjoyed all the beats, actually. Like I said before though, some rounds were super close which is cool since we had a solid amount of votes.

@Iron Keys lol man, I thought for sure I would have been out first round specifically because of the mix. I guess the element of grime shopping with choice of sample kinda made it work. But that it is definitely not a mix I would typically even want to attach my name to. I'm really surprised your beat didn't advance. Once I heard it I was like welp I'm out.

So many hard decisions with the match ups this time around... but yo... @hosie I was fuckin with your beat the heaviest out of anyone and thoroughly felt like you should have taken the W. Thought through and through yours would knock me out.

Salute and much respect to everyone because I felt like everyone tried to really come with it and bring that fire.

Well my beat got beat by the winner, so there ya go!

But honestly I wasn't really feeling my beat, there was things I liked about it and things I didn't. Wouldn't have fancied it against a bunch of other beats... despite winning the rest of my match ups.

After R1 listening back, I don't think your mix was as bad as initially thought. I also think the overall vibe of the beat is just so strong it outweighs any deficiencies in the mix --- so fully deserved.

The winning brackets on the West conference, two (x2) extremely hard to choose between beats.

The odder thing, are that the matchups in style are identical in both brackets --- my mood was leaning a certain way today, which led to me choosing that style in both matchups.

So these matchups were;

@Earsblower vs @TWU
@Leopard Cohen vs @PhxAZTracMaster

I voted for TWU and Leopard Cohen, 'cause those tracks had that gritty aggressive feel, the beats carried a lot of that emotion; and it just happened to be that the mood i was feeling at that time was for those kind of beats.

Earsblower and Phx tracks were really good. Loved Earsblower's and genuinely thought all 4 of these were finals/winner-worthy. I think Ears and Phx beats sound composed (not sample based) am I right? Whereas Twu and Leopard sounded sampled --- typically I would vote for the more composed.

Was easier than typically would be to make this decision - just went with what resonated my current feeling/vibe. If I was basing it purely objectively, would have been fucking ridiculously tough.
