wavelab Compression

I know alot of us use Wave Plugins,,,I especially use it for compression. Which one do yall use, C1, C4,,,etc and why?

I really just use the standard one that has vocal comp and it also has thump compression.
Those 2 are really all I need to either make the thing bump or get the vocals to melt into the trak.
I didnt really feel there was some great boost using c4 or anything. Maybe Ill play with it and see but those 2 are like it for me and they are like I say under the plain ol compressor. lol

I use the basic waves comp too. I've been using Normad Factory bundle a lot lately. Blue Tube has everything you'll every need to master.

i use the linear multiband which is basically a souped up c4 its good for balancing out mixes.. i use the reneanisance compressor sometimes on vocals.... l2 limiter ... i like maxbass too for puttin some thump into the mix..waves plugs are pretty cool although i dont like how they impart a certain kind of color to the audio. waves plugs def have a certain sound to them.. most times it works but sometimes i get sick of there plugs... but there very useful for most of the time... i think the best waves plugs are the noise reduction and restoration ones... i can clean up some real beat up records using the x-noise. x-crackle..etc....

man... I can use compression kind of well now, but I dont seem to really see the difference between compressors... I really have to do my homeworks...

Waves L3 Multimaximizer is really the bomb to compress quickly a track, you look at the same time a fft analyser and you put the settings to get the max power !

is there a difference between compressors and settings when it comes to vocals as opposed to beats? I'm sure there is, but hey, I'm still learnin,,,

technicaly all compressors should work with the same prinipels no matter what brand so whats the deal only because they want lots of $$$$$$$$$$$ u think wavelab iz tha shizznezz?

a compressor is a compressor.dont let them fool you.i use the fl comp and have no prob with it.

I do like the compressor in FL, I sue it on all my samples
