The most inportant thing when it comes to all artforms whatever they may be. Painting, Music whatever is that you make it from your heart and you find your own way and style. Then it's good as gold ( Atleast in your own ears : )

Madlib uses an SP-1200, SP-303, SP-606, & an MPC-60II...he mainly uses the 303 and 1200 though.

oh really?

his sh*t sounds like some EPS-16+ shyt to me. if he does use a 2000 he does a hell of a good job when mixing his beats cause his drums dont sound weak to me.

if your using an mpc proply it shouldnt make your drums sound weak. in fact quite the opposite. mpc's make everthing sound chunk especially drums.
