Hi all,

I'm new to this (as you can tell by looking at my kindergarden level question) :(

Can some please help me understand what does a Velocity Sensitive keyboard (or is it Velocity Sensitive keys) mean?

A URL and/or a image of a product which offers Velocity Sensitive keys will also be appreciated.

Thanks.

VELOCITY
An aspect of MIDI note messages that indicates how fast a note is attacked. In the case of a keyboard, it measures how fast a key travels down (Velocity) or up (Release Velocity). It is not to be confused with aftertouch, which measures how hard a key is pressed after the note has been played.

Thanks Fade. The URL will come in handy in the future too :)

So is my understanding correct that a keyboard offering "velocity sensitive keys" basically means that the LONGER you keep a key pressed the LOUDER will the sound get and if you just slightly press a key the sound will not last that long?
