Back in the day I got the chance to do some interim work at a couple of different radio stations and even while I was DJ'ing the clubs, we used to contact an artists label and if we were very lucky we could get a "tag" promoting the radio station, club or even DJ. I got a few tags from KRS, Salt & Pepa, Spin, D-Nice and a few others. I dont hear anyone doing that anymore. Back then it was cool as hell to throw KRS voice in on top of a BDP beat saying "You're rocking with cool DJ Supreme..." or something like that. Those words just made the song even doper almost like KRS was really standing there. What ever happened to that?

9/10 its money. For one reason or another it isnt cool to hear artists now. Matter a fact KRS and that generation had a different type of following. It was more genuine and universal. Hiphop is full of fair weather fans now.
