I'm listening to this now Pretty. Goddamn. Sweet! Definitely have some talent. Very nice use of your samples, drums are pretty on point, rhythmically and in the mix. Also a very nice use of atmospheric sounds. Not something I hear too often.- lion-ucs

If you want to synthesis your own (whether you're using samples or oscillators) consider the properties of your desired result. I'll be using freesound.org to get my points across since they have waveforms of the samples right on their site and you don't have to register to look and listen... -
Drum sounds
I know there are some legitimately dirty drums out there. I know because I have download a ton and a half of drum packs when I started rebuilding my library. Speaking of library, i have a set of untapped sample material to attend to. -

Try some bit crushing and/or distortion. If you're looking for already gritty drums, look for ones that has been bit crushed, distorted, circuit bent or has been processed through an old sampler like an SP-1200 -

Windows 8 - Thoughts?
I would REALLY like to perform with a tablet running Windows 8 Pro. Can have the controller on the stand and the computer underneath. The computer would pretty much be invisible to the audience.- lion-ucs

Windows 8 - Thoughts?
From what I know, pretty much everybody that tried the beta was saying that the Modern UI (is now the name, not Metro UI anymore) is great for touchscreen devices (and imo, TV's) but it sucks for K&M computers ala Desktops and Laptops. Everyone said Aero is fantastic give us the option to switch...- lion-ucs

looking for an interface thats fairly inexpensive.....
I wouldnt consider the FTP something to be 'lugged' around but for on the go, I use the Fast Track MKII (as depicted in majority of my videos) and I keep my FTP plugged at home. The MKII has a preamp built in like the FTP, which is the main reason I got it. Still I'd really like to check out... -
