I dont know what other ppls problem is, I've never had a problem with my MPD at all.
Hit the pads hard when I wanna be heavy and aggressive, When i wanna play soft and smooth I can ease up on 'em. They're very expressive.
You do realize the 26 is a little old, right?
In fact I'm quite sure it predates Maschine and other hardware/software combos. I would actually be surprised if Akai isn't working with a software company to make their own hardware/software solution.

thing about swing. most ppl miss out on the fact that velocity is often more important than the time adjustment. The variations in velocity will make your drums sound more humanize than simply turning the swing/shuffle knob.

I like that they kept all 16 pads on a smaller controller instead of 8 and 12 like the LPD8 and the first NanoPad
