@AlphaStudart i really enjoyed this. i'm not super familiar with trap but there was a lot i liked here. the delay on the snare is a really great touch, the lowkey 808 works suberbly mainly though i feel nothing in this track is overdone, which i think is something thats really hard to pull off...

    Microtonality in beatmaking

@Iron Keys to be fair this guy is a professional jazz keyboard / bassplayer so even coming close to his level of musicallity is next to impossible for most people :P yeah i do think there is something to taking yourself out of your comfort zone when making music that can create some very cool...

    Microtonality in beatmaking

yeah it does seem like a lot of hassle for something that will sound quite strange :P i just think the theory of it is really cool like introducing arabic elements etc to melodies there are a lot of possibilities i've never thought of

    Brazilian Beatmaker

heheh i mean this was just for fun i made this in 10 mins but honestly when it comes to lowfi i think you can make any chord progression work, i still really like the genre though. ease of creation isn't really a determining factor in quality as far as i see it.

    Subconscious plagiarism

Yeah the idea of copyrighting melodies is hilarious, some guys even made a code that could make a daw calculate every possible permutation in an octave (they came up with a retarded number 80 mil or something (cant remember exact but really friggin huge atleast ) and saved it to a hard drive...

just to add you can have 2 chord beats but the drums would probably be more in focus it is kinda on a case by case basis i feel depending on melody composition spacing etc etc

    Showcase - June 22-28, 2020

@Khaly Beatz ok so not sure but it sounds like you messed with the pitch of the lead melody here? i see what your going for making dissonant tones n stuff the problem is that dissonant notes are 7ths and and 2nd intervals (im not super good on intervals but i beleive this is the case musically )...

Yeah usin tons of money on expensive plugins and kit or just dling a bunch of free ones wont fix a bad song or beat unfortunatly, it can enhance a good track though! . Think dave grohl (different genre but still applies) said something like this in an interview "a good song will sound good even...
