    do you use song mode on the mpc or use your computer and add the mutes.

    I do it on the MPC.... I make one standart sequence, copy it, and ad tracks or mute tracks. If o got all the sequences together I'll use the song-mode.

    pre-amp with tube?

    well, it is better than what I used to do before.... using my Behringer MX1804X Mixer as Preamp.... the sound si pretty clear and it is thicker then it used to be. You can also choose special tube-fx for different instruments like keyboard, guitar or whatever...
