    yeah...i think if you needed it they would at least say so in the "recommended" requirements section. i was looking into a number of mac based sequencers recently, and while i ended up settling on logic 7.2 i looked at motu fairly deeply and never heard someone say you need their soundcards.

    i guess in some cases i'd want it to do it with the beat also but generally, i'd just say i want it to be on its own (just the vocal)
