This sounds like hooking up to a bus is your problem Busing is more so for live performance and for using reason as a sound mod (which I think you may have found in your tutorial search) You should be hooked up, MIDI I/O (only one should be needed) to your interface/sound card/usb midi... -

Way I see it, the pros outweigh the cons of a huge sample library really the only con that isn't really that controllable is the capacity. other than that, you can organize your libraries to make finding specific sounds easier.
