Co1u vs Non USB Mics
umm, i wouldn't get the the co1u, i've heard that it picks up lots of backround noise from the computer, and sounds knida thin. as far as hearing while while you record, to me it would be important because you can hear mistakes, and correct them without having to got back through the whole verse... -

depending on what kind of hard disk recorder you get, the editing could be as easy as software. like these ones from roland, you can hook up a pc monitor to them and it gives a software interface, so its easy to copy,cut,paste. plus you can use vst ex plugins still... -

Pads on the mpc 1000
the pads arent the same, lots of people including myself notice the difference. But i'm not even worried now. i just called this place called vst service and they said that when the pads give out that a simple replacement set of pads will make it like new, and thats theres no actual electrical...
