I agree with both assessments here... @JR - I think the volume of the snare is OK, I just think some EQ'ing on the high end would give them more presence and a touch more snap. Just a touch, not very much. @IK - I'm one of the few here that do like claps but I think I would have switched up...- dacalion

good point... LMAO @ "If i can choose between an SSL or Akai interface...hmmm..." My only concern with the Studio is it just appears way too thin to handle the constant abuse of getting banged on AND AKAI is known for having to pound the shit out of their pads compared to anything else. -

In all honesty, I just cant imagine anyone settling for the smaller AKAI's with the Renaissance being the flagship. I question the durability of the AKAI Studio, it just seems too thin to take the normal pounding that a sampler takes and the AKAI Fly looks more like a toy than a serious... -

I don't think the "promotional use" tag will last forever. I also feel like a person should do whats right. The only compromise that I see is - use what you have access to and 'give back' accordingly. If you're making good money using "promotional use" products then put good money back into it... -

OK Formant, help me out on this... 1. I keep running into different Mastering Techniques that say it's OK to use Stereo Widening (if needed) in your Mastering process. Ofc, we're talking about minute adjustments and not 'repairing' a bad mix but just adding a touch of seasoning so to speak... -

There is no set price, there's no guessing either. It will be totally up to the copyright owner/s. They usually want to hear your material first, then they look at things like...how much you used, the way you used it, how often it's used in your beat, how recognizable it is and so on... and... -
