Jay-Z - 'Glory' Feat. B.I.C. (Dedication to Blue Ivy Carter)

Yeah, the last I heard, it was LA's kid that had the record. I just hope she looks more like B then J...lmao.

    Sample Clearance

It depends on several factors...Mainly if the owner decides to sue you or not. That is if you're selling a beat with someones else's copyrighted material in it. One of the misconceptions is...they won't bother you unless you are making some big bank off it. That may be true to a degree BUT they...

hahahaha! J said... "make sure the plane you're on is bigger than your carry-on baggage". I think this kid is gonna have the world as her sandbox.

Adding 'Weight' To Your Snare Hits

Thats a really good tip on kicks, I don't record any live kicks at home but I'd imagine that this would still be a great tool for shaping sampled kicks as well. Dope.

Yeah, thats just where I'm at right now personally...I'm still learning bruh, the ultimate key to winning any of these comps is putting out something dope. It doesn't matter how it's accomplished here. It's the final result that counts. If heavy sampling is what it takes, go for it. If composing...

Thanks Valmonnt, for a long time I was relying solely on sampling, I mean I was tearing down songs and chopping them up in micro pieces to make a beat (really A LOT of work). I would even go so far as filtering out the bass, hits or whatever I didn't want in a chop to get what I had envisioned...

A New Hip Hop Trend, I Guess?!?!?!

Yeah I got the Sony version ear buds with the mic for your phone. I like them more than my bluetooth actually. Wifey bought me the Luda's which I like a lot but you'll NEVER see me sporting them in the public, they are for home use only. Plus dudes are getting jacked for that ish here.

Thats fine bruh, I've seen worse...lol. It can be anything you want though. I put the title of my track in mine because even though it asks you in the signups, it doesn't show the title in the comp.

I'm Going To Re-Invent The Home Hi-Fi System

Bose was on it way but they are way too expensive for little to nothing. I had a pair of their speakers but my Kenwoods sounded just as good. *shrugs*

I'm Going To Re-Invent The Home Hi-Fi System

Well maybe not but I think it would be a great move if some big company did. I'm thinking something with superb quality, but affordable to the average person. I envision something small in size but huge in sound and quality. I think the days of big bulky home stereo systems are gone forever so...
