my mixer doesn't have phantom power, I bought a seperate phantom power unit that takes 9volts that i run the mic through. but it doesn't do anything besides supply phantom power. thanks you a fury for the info -

my mixer produces no sound?
I didn't realize mixers had usb. I get feedback if i don't mute a channel because I have my mixer going in and out of my sound card, I bet usb would eliminate my feedback issue making it even more easy to mix shit. -

The soundcard has an interdface under my cd-rom and it is not preamped, it is a quarter inch input. I use a seperate phantom-powered unit for the mic. so based on that i could def use a pre? -
