Yeah the mo phat is a nice module also check out the PK-6 out but if u not into the keys then the module of that is the Protues 2000 and that can take the Mo Phat Roms also. So u can have the protues sounds along wit da Mo Phat's sounds to. -

A hardware sequencer (e.g. Akai MPC), a keyboard or a sound module w/a midi controller, lots of vinyl, and a turntable. Also buy u a couple of sample cds then u good to go. -

Check out da M-Audio Mobile Pre. To be honest i dont fuck wit mixers cause i had nothin but trouble wit em but i dont need them anyways cause i use a track recorder as a mixer and for recording.
