Best preferable way to get your track LOUD in reason W/OUT CLIPPING?
a friend of mine uses reason to create his patterns, renders it to wav and makes the song in fruity loops to pump it up and use different vst to alter the sounds. than mix's it in acid and masters it in wavelab. his beats sound phat and no gain problems. -
How many beats a day?
about a year ago I used to make 2-5 beats a day, but now I take my time for every beat I make and sometimes I can work a whole month on one beat. I think things through better and I'm not easely satisfied anymore. I can make 4 or 5 patterns (beats) in one evening but only one or none will... -
Help With a Sample...
I also would cut it up, program some drums and start f###ing around with the short samples on the drums. That would work for me. -
Drum Patterns
in fruity loops there is a function called shift. with that you can put the notes closer together wich gives the drums a more human feel to it I think. don't know if there is anything like that in reason. also play around with the gain a little, one bd a bit lower than the other. hope it helps... -

Personaly I don't think it is a problem using samples that are already been used, only you have to flip them different. I rarely use loops in my tracks, I almost always chop them up. The main focus of my sample diggin' is the 70's. I think the best funk, soul, jazz and reggea was created in... -

like everyone told you, it happens to all of us. what I do is, I make all my beats with my computer and when I don't have inspiration I go to my sampler. it works different and I get inspired by that most of the times. try using an other program for making beats. hope this helps a bit... -

use an akai s900 or s 950. I use the same method Mercury is telling about in the article or my zoom sampletrak sampler (32khz) or I select my samples on dirtness...... there are so many methods. -
